Director Biography - Hugo Clouzeau

Hugo Clouzeau began his career as a television editor, where he explored different documentary styles. Through his passion for rivers and his desire to make films, he became a director in 2016 and made the adventure documentaries "Les Eaux Blanches" and "Apurimac l'appel de la rivière" (2018). In these two films, he was part of the expeditions and shared the river with the characters while filming. Through these projects, he met other travellers and mountaineers who entrusted him with images of their expeditions. Thanks to these authentic accounts, he embarked on a hybrid job as editor and director, making new films in which the adventurer recounts his own experience without the cumbersomeness of a film crew or the sometimes overly rhetorical vision of a director.
