Screenwriter. Member of the Japan Scenario Writers Association.
Born in Okayama, he spent his boyhood in Fukuoka, Kochi, Hyogo, Ehime, and other regions in western Japan. After graduating from high school, he entered the Japan Academy of Moving Images, founded by director Shohei Imamura, and studied screenwriting under screenwriters Chiho Katsura and Yukiko Takayama.
After working at a nursing home, a production company, and as a plot writer, he made his debut as a screenwriter.
My screenplay film "KAGURAME" was released nationwide in 2015 and was officially nominated for the 39th Montreal World Film Festival and the 24th St. Louis International Film Festival, where it was screened at home and abroad. It also won the Royal Reel Award at the Canadian International Film Festival 2016.
He is currently preparing for the release of the omnibus film "Blues/Uncle OSSAN in the 21st Century" (directed by Naoki Maeda).
He has been working on full-scale film production as a director and producer since 2021. In addition, to support young screenwriters, he launched the scenario writers' group "Tokiwa" in 2019.
