I am a smart and strong woman from East Asia, 24 years old now. Bachelor's degree in scriptwriting and film production from Beijing Film Academy, Master's degree in 2D and stop-motion animation from Teesside University.
In the very first vision of my script, I wrote an anxious man who is living on writing scripts, and then my teacher gave me some advice about making it a female playwright like I am, so I can find some special aspects to talk about. That’s true because, except for the feelings of writing, I find there is a lot I can discuss, such as gender-related issues both in-home and working atmosphere.
I divided the film into five parts, the first discussing the dilemma of creation itself, the second discussing the portrayal of women in the home on screen, the third thinking about the kind of freedom women want, the fourth showing women in the workplace on screen, and the fifth echoing the incomplete struggle of the third part.
