Not my Heaven

1944, Greater German Reich. The orphan boy Theo, son of a Jewish woman and a soldier of the Wehrmacht, fights with the demons of the time – and his own. The film gives insights into the thoughts of an adolescent who suffers from great losses and questions the supposedly fearless man, who fights obediently for his country. 80 years after beginning of the Second World War the story of Theo is embedded in an interview with contemporary witnesses and also takes a look at our political and social present.
