Director Biography

Currently, I am a senior at CUNY’s College of Staten Island. I major in cinema studies and production while maintaining my passion for creative writing. As a teenager, I relied on writing while I struggled with depression and anxiety. Eventually, my writing and desire to re-enter the world led me to study abroad in France (July, 2016). There, I analyzed film theory and made film. It was on this trip that I discovered my love for film and further developed my skills.

Since returning from Europe, my love for film focused on documentary. I began producing a short film, a project that coincides with my personal writing. As an artist, I believe it is crucial to use film and other media to raise consciousness about the world in which we live. My life and work are dedicated to this through learning and creating. I will continue to do so.
