Director Statement

We shot this on iPhone to try and generate a documentary-drama style. I am so very proud of my cast for, in my opinion, achieving that aim.

This film is a swipe at the government's never-thought-through sponsorship scheme which now see's over 9000 Ukrainian households in the UK having to declare themselves 'homeless' to find shelter now that their 6 month sponsorship has ended.

As of the time of writing none are physically on the street but how long before a few slip through the gaps?

God bless all of you who have taken in refugees. In my research I found that there are only a couple of isolated cases where relationships between sponsor and refugee have not worked out and nowhere near the scenario in this film but my fictional sponsor couple in this film represent the extremes selfish opportunists will go to to further their own agenda... just like Boris Johnson and his thankfully now removed government
