Director Biography - Runjeev G Ignatius

Graduating from Tisch, Runjeev moved to Los Angeles as a VFX Artist while transitioning into writing/directing. While working on projects for Disney, Nicolas Cage and singer SIA, Runjeev specializes in quirky stories that humanize underdogs fumbling with their humanity.

Director Statement

The sights and smells of New York City, Runjeev had just begun studying at NYU when he awoke to a sound he'd never heard before. Runjeev runs out his dorm as screaming bystanders race away. A wall of smoke barrels through the streets giving no choice but to escape. Runjeev turns around to see the second World Trade Center collapse. His first semester studying filmmaking at Tisch and the end of his childhood. In a world where everything can change without warning, Runjeev gravitates towards stories that unify and bring people together in the face of insurmountable adversity.

Just like 20 years ago, the pandemic has created a common bond through tragedy. After completing a few darker tales, Runjeev realized people also need a light-hearted look at the pandemic. That's how the story of "Nosey" came to life.
