Private Project

North woodland

In the depth of forest in the picturesque northern mountains of Mongolia, a young woman lives tranquilly with her elderly father. One day an young man suddenly shows up in their ger. It is apparent that the young has been traveling for many days up to near exhaustion without seeing any life-human beings. Three of them begin to understand each other without talking, but only by their eyes.
In the pivotal moments of human life, probably it is not always necessary to talk. When we are living in a total harmony with nature devoid of time pressure, in our most close relations, we don’t need WORDS. The guest and the woman communicate by only exchanging glances yet they comprehend one another perfectly without dropping a word from their mouths. They grow fond of each other and this eventually grows into affection. Initially, the old man was suspicious of the uninvited quest , yet eventually he also becomes fond of the young man, therefore gives him his most precious knife and pipe that were passed down from his ancestors. The old man parts from this earthly life and it is time to bury him. The local policeman who has been searching for a fugitive-prisoner, finds the fugitive refuging at his childhood sweetheart’s ger, and witnessing this the policeman is torn between his professional duty and the happiness of his beloved, whether to arrest or let the fugitive free, who is now his sweetheart’s lover.
The policeman, the woman, and the fugitive understand each other with their glances without talking, and finally the love wins all and the policeman lets the fugitive to escape.
