Nora Hawari Bio
Nora Hawari is a Muslim Arab American filmmaker who produces her own original work centered around the Middle Eastern experience from a female perspective. She is a writer and actor whose latest work Yallah Habibi has gone on to win Best Web Pilot at several film festivals as well as being an official selection at The Tribeca Film Festival. Nora was also a selected participant in HBO’s Creators Market in New York City where she pitched among several industry professionals. She is a trained Meisner actor who is playing the first female Muslim character on NBC Universal’s Curious George season 14 & 15. Her ultimate goal is to continue to create her work on a bigger scale expanding the representation of Arab/Muslim Americans both on and off screen.
