Nobody Loves You and You Don't Deserve to Exist (Dir. Brett Gregory, 2022)
This multi award-winning British feature film follows Old Jack, a grieving ex-English teacher rotting away on welfare benefits in gothic Manchester, confronting the tragic-comic fragments of his shattered past as he takes us on a personal journey through Broken Britain under Margaret Thatcher in the 1980s, John Major in the 1990s and Boris Johnson in the 2020s.

A former lecturer in Film and Cultural Studies based in Manchester (UK), I have been a creative/commercial independent filmmaker since 2005.
As well as short dramas, music videos and commercial promos, my filmography includes a trilogy of music documentaries called The Beyond Series: Iceland: Beyond Sigur Ros (2010), Manchester: Beyond Oasis (2012) and Liverpool: Beyond The Beatles (2015).
My absolute zero budget debut feature film, 'Nobody Loves You and You Don't Deserve to Exist', is a semi-autobiographical exploration of masculinity, morality, identity, social class and storytelling in the North of England.
It was released in May 2022 and took over 6 and a half years to complete.
Since then it has accrued over 100 invaluable Letterboxd and IMDb reviews, and has won over 45 international film awards and festival nominations in 22 countries.
