We're attended a few film festivals and we've often seen films that sanitize their subject matter in order to make a worthwhile point. After all, if you're trying to convince an audience you don't want to be working against yourself, right?
Well, right now we're talking specifically about Filipino-American cinema. There are so many wonderful films about us, but something we haven't seen get done quite right: the arguing! Sometimes we argue! Everyone does it, and it doesn't mean we don't love each other.
So here it is. Our short film No Room For Love, which led eventually to us filming 3 (!!!) more episodes and turning this whole thing into a mini-series. It's about a family of seven Filipino-Americans who love each other but bicker like crazy. They're trying to make it in Hollywood, which is already tough, but then they're all cooped up in the same small apartment. We're not all 'model minority' material, and some of us can't even cook, but what you've got here is a tiny living quarters with no room for love, that's filled with it anyway.
We hope you enjoy.
