Taejoon Kim is a TV show director of ten year career who started out as a music show director on Mnet in 2012. He joined KBS in 2015 and since then has participated in various program productions in the Entertainment Department.
The music programs he has produced include “Immortal Songs,” “Music Bank: Chile,” and “Listen-Up,” and the reality programs he has produced include “Mr. House Husband,” “Boss in the Mirror,” and “2 Days & 1 Night.”
He is actively involved in different genres as an entertainment show producer.
Vincent van Gogh only managed to sell one of his art pieces throughout his
lifetime. The world at that time deserves to be reproached for failing to recognize such a genius, and this program was derived from the idea that there must be innumerable contemporary artists today that also deserve our attention. We want to give hope to young artists by encouraging them to display their artwork to the public and take on challenges, regardless of whether they have achieved tangible results in sales yet.
Modern art, which is often seen as abstruse, is produced as an art form to be felt, rather than one that is taught or informed upon. The messages in the artwork are our own stories, and CG technology is actively employed to heighten the understanding of them. The art pieces introduced on the program will be recreated into art merchandise and made available for purchase for the benefit of the viewers, and the business model of actual credit card designs will be developed through collaboration with credit card companies. We hope the viewers can go beyond the experience of just viewing art on the program, and indirectly own it in real life.
