Jon Shaivitz is an LA-based writer/director originally from Baltimore, Maryland. He placed in the Top 50 of the 2022 Academy Nicholl Fellowship and has won many accolades including Runner-Up in the StoryPros Awards in 2022, the Guaranteed Signing Prize in Roadmap Writers JumpStart 2019, "Best Feature" at the 2021 Atlanta Screenplay Awards and has been optioned twice. Jon hopes to show the world stories and characters that have never been seen before. Jon's first written/directed feature film ROSES ON THE VINE starring Cameron Cowperthwaite (FALLOUT) and Madeline Sinclair recently completed post-production and is seeking distribution.
After losing my father to brain cancer when I was 26, I wanted to make something to honor his memory. Little did I know it would be such a healing and cathartic experience. This is for my dad.
