No Legs. All Heart.

"We are disabled in things we can't do...but there is no shortage of things that any of us can do.” - André Kajlich

After years of addiction, struggle, and coming to terms with his life changing accident, André Kajlich aims to be the first double amputee to complete the Race Across America, a bone-crushing, sleep deprived, 12 day, 3,082 mile bike race that spits out 50% of able bodied racers.

Directed by first-time Latin American director and Emmy® Award–winning cinematographer Pablo Durana and produced by Oscar®, Emmy®, and Peabody® Award-winning filmmakers Andrea Nix Fine and Sean Fine, "No Legs. All Heart." is a story about the true test of the human spirit, overcoming addiction, and the pain we endure to carve our own path in life.

Director Statement

Meeting André was a serendipitous moment that I will never forget. Our connection was forged through our mutual love of endurance sports, and it was clear from the start that André was an exceptional athlete with an unshakeable mental fortitude. While André’s athletic accomplishments feel superhuman, he is not your perfect hero. André's struggles and challenges beyond him losing his legs and were deeply relatable and incredibly powerful.

It was this realization that led me to embark on a documentary project that I have been self-funding. With my sister by my side, we set out to capture André's story in all its raw authenticity, and it was truly a labor of love. Throughout the grueling Race Across America (RAAM), we were constantly on the move, capturing the genuine experience without ever stopping for retakes.

As a true verité filmmaker, I relish the challenge of capturing the essence of a story in the moment. And with André, it was no different. His story is one that needed to be told, and through the power of film, I am proud to have been able to share it with the world. Though I am most comfortable behind the camera as a cinematographer, taking on the role of director for this project allowed me to express a new form of creativity.

This project has been a journey unlike any other, and I am proud to have been a part of bringing André's incredible story to life.
