Doing Nothing
"No Fent Res / Doing Nothing" is an independent film project depicting an uncomfortable and unbalanced mind, speaking to itself. A realistic approach to internal, existential conversation, with some push-and-pull required.

Jan Alonso Busqueta is a Catalan filmmaker and photographer. Born in Barcelona, he was raised in Brussels and is currently working in London. Specialising in Scriptwriting and Cinematography, he is also an experienced independent filmmaker, even during the Pandemic.
Jan’s multicultural and quadrilingual upbringing grants him a global village viewpoint, where no topic is too far. Motivated by knowledge and experience, research is integral to his art. Linguistic variation is commonplace in Jan’s pieces. This offers new depths, be it for the characters or the narrative as a whole. A common theme within Jan’s work is a lack of closure. Believing the audience isn’t entitled to a happy ending, as they are taken for granted.
A crippling fear of creative stagnation means Jan is not limited to one style or genre. His work ranges from philosophical comedies to dance sequences to animation. With a familial love of surrealism and comedy, his personality always shines through.
Please enjoy my latest film. It was a venerable piece, showing a realistic approach to an internal existential conversation. The use of 2 languages allows the audience to feel a clearer separation between the characters.
