Honorable Mention
Max Stallings graduated from Calvin University in 2021 with a degree in Film and Media Production. He has written and directed two comedy short films, The Drop-Off (2020) and Roommates (2022). No Brakes (2023) is his first documentary and feature length film.
"No Brakes" highlights the world of historic racing from the perspective of someone working independently. More importantly, it showcases a deeply human story of the struggle to accomplish ones dreams, the desire to chase the success of the past, and the result giving oneself no breaks.
