Nabila Lester is an American Film, Television, Stage and Commercial Producer/Director/Writer with over 10 years experience in the Hollywood film industry and abroad.
Born in Harlem, New York she acquired her BA in American/Media Studies at The University of California, Berkeley. She went on to earn her Masters in Film Production from the top film school in the world; The University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts. She has worked for major companies such as Hallmark, PBS and CNN International.
Currently, Nabila is a Professor at SCAD Atlanta in the Film and Television Department and CEO of NABS International Productions, a TV and Film Production company. She is Producer, Director and Writer of 'Nkiruka.'
'Nkiruka' is the story of my great grandmother. 'Nkiruka' is the story of my grandmother. 'Nkiruka' is the story of my mother. 'Nkiruka' is the story of my daughter. 'Nkiruka' is the story of myself. 'Nkiruka' is the story of every black woman who has had their heart broken and had to find healing and self love to survive.
