1. General Rule
1.1 Purpose of the Competition
Taking ‘Youth, International, Pioneer’ as the element, 'Internationalization, Specialization, Industrialization’ as the characteristic, insisting on ‘global attraction, focusing on high-quality products, industrial development’.

March 17, 2025 to April 30, 2025
1.3 Eligibility
Entry into the competition section of the 30°Ningbo Short Film Festival (30°NSFF) 2025 is open to creators or their authorised representatives who own the full copyright of the work, regardless of nationality.
1.4 Competition Registration and Fees:
There is no entry fee for this competition, and the following three official entry channels are designated
Channel 1: Follow the WeChat public number 'wdy0574' and reply 'compete' to get the registration information;
Channel 2: Send ‘ compete ’ to nsff2025@163.com for registration information;

2. Moudles and Awards
2.1 Interpretation of Units
Short Film Section: Theme is not limited, open to the whole world, original films not exceeding 30 minutes in length (the specified length includes the opening and closing credits), and films that meet the conditions listed in ‘Overall Rules’ - ‘Eligibility for Entry’ in the Competition Regulations may be submitted to this section for judging. The selection will be made in this section.
Genres include [Drama] [Documentary] [Experimental] [Animation] [AI short film] Subjects are unlimited and include but are not limited to family, romance, history, suspense, etc.
[AI Short Film] The film should be accompanied by a description of the type of AI technology used and how it is applied in the film. Including but not limited to: AI tools and versions used, generation process, key words and parameter settings, screenshots of the workflow, as well as references during the creation process and screenshots or short video clips of the generation process.

Supplementary notes:
(1) The final winning entry will be collected by the representative of the
participant, and the distribution of the support amount has nothing to do
with the organising committee;
(2) The amount shown above is before tax, and the actual amount to be
distributed after tax shall prevail;
(3) The final right of interpretation belongs to the organising committee.
3. Enrolment instructions
3.1 Format Requirement:
The film must be the original output of 1080P or more high-definition video, mp4, mpg, mov video formats are available, the code stream does not exceed 30M, the screen shall not have additional watermarks.
Domestic short film subtitles are in Chinese and English; foreign short films with at least English subtitles need to provide separate srt English subtitles.
3.2 Work Requirement:
The Film year is 1 June 2023 and after the completion of the production of the work, all entries are required to be original, novel in intent, cleverly conceived, positive and upward, in line with national laws, regulations and copyright-related requirements. Each author can submit more than one work.
3.3 Additional Materials:
Registration materials include registration form + licensing agreement +poster + HD promotional video (trailer, shooting footage, etc.)
1. The application form should be provided in PDF version and Word version;
2. The Authorization Form and Copyright Statement shall be completed with handwritten signature and official seal from the unit. They shall be submitted in the form of either scanning copy or electronic picture. 3. Posters and promotional films are required. Posters are required to be in jpg format, one horizontal and one vertical version, and high-definition promotional videos are required to be less than 2 minutes long, in mp4, mpg, mov video formats;

3.4 Copyright Information:
Participants must ensure that the music, sound, images, text and other materials used in the film are original or have obtained the authorisation of the original copyright holder, and that the documentary materials should have obtained the portrait rights of the person filmed and the authorisation to be filmed. If any legal dispute arises from the film, the applicant shall bear the legal responsibility. The organising committee reserves the right to reject a film for copyright or portrait right infringement.
4. Other
Those who sign up for the 2025 30°Ningbo Short Film Festival will be deemed to recognize and accept this regulation. Participants have the obligation to ensure the legality of the film submitted to 30°Ningbo Short Film Festival. The Committee reserves the final interpretation right of this regulation.
