I was born in 1992 in provincial Russian town named Penza. My parents are businessmen:
my father owns a closing store, my mother – a fitness club. Being a pupil at school I became interested in cinematography and television and began to study at local youth film studio “Spectrum”.
Then, at the age of 14, I shoot my first films. At the age of 16 I moved to Saint-Petersburg,
the second largest city in Russia. I entered the Saint-Petersburg State University of Cinematography and Television where I`m still studying (this is my last year of studying) as a future director of TV programs.
Despite of initial desire to work on TV soon I decided soon to try myself in making documentary films.During the time of studying I made several documentaries for university purposes and works at several TV and internet studios such as “Iron Rating”, a production studio where I’ve been working for 3 years as a director of programs being shown at Russian cable channels, as a cameraman, editor, speaker and journalist.
I consider myself as a universalist, equally good at shooting, editing and scriptwriting. That’s the reason why I prefer to work on projects independently – do everything myself from creating an idea to postproduction.
“New Russian Cossacks” is a film which I’ve been shooting for a year in different parts of Russia.
This is my first serious work, and I took it on my own initiative. A number of my previous works made for
TV can be found on the following youtube channel:
Specificity of my work as a member of the “Iron Rating” edition group lies in the sphere of power sports.
As an example of my work I offer you a multi-part documentary «Lesukov vs Cutler»:
