Sensational Horror movie filmmaker, director, producer, and writer, Carla Saunders is a native of St. Louis, MO. She is the founder of Atlanta-based Company, Promises Entertainment LLC, popularly known as Carla Saunders Films. The self-taught Filmmaker is an avid fan of horror films and is also recognized in the world of entertainment for her insightful productions which she loves to refer to as works of art. She formerly worked as an extra on industry-mover and iconic filmmaker, Tyler Perry’ Madea Goes to Jail. While here, she became inspired to take her creativity to the next level.
Since the inception of her Entertainment Company, Carla has produced one feature-length film and several short films for American and International audiences that gained the attention and acknowledgment of FOX 5 News Atlanta. Her debut feature film, “No Reason” is an exciting urban horror thriller and a sold-out premiered event on March 30, 2022. With an ardent eye for detail, she works tirelessly to ensure the film gets the best attention it deserves. One of the many testimonials from satisfied audiences - “No one expected the outcome as there was a lot of twist and turns in the story that had the me on edge.
Some of her other works include “Nightmare,” “Did You Vote,” and “I’m Sorry,” which was officially selected 9 times in the film festival circuit. Carla is currently working on a horror anthology series, including several other unreleased projects. Through her movies, she intends to raise awareness and draw the attention of women of color to the horror genre. Promises Entertainment LLC is home to Carla’s work, a creative space for actors, and her team of film professionals to explore and enhance their craft.
Carla who resides in Atlanta, Georgia also doubles as a Personal Injury Paralegal and mother of a beautiful daughter. With 14 independent films under her name, she looks forward to creating block-buster Horror/Thriller films worldwide for American and International audiences.
