Night Terror
A deceitful man struggling with night terror's comes to face with a living nightmare that is haunting his family.
Ben Castle has been wrestling some demons from his past recently. As a child his family was struck by a violent incident that shaped his life and that of his brother Will. In the aftermath the boys uncle Wes, raised them as his own sons. Now Wes has been suffering early signs of dementia and has been placed in a care facility. Ben has been clearing out his Uncle's belongings and has been finding it hard. He is hiding a secret from his girlfriend Julie that might come back to bite him. Ben longs for days gone by when our story begins.
A short horror film made in the Summer of 2022. Inspired by the B-Movie's of the 1980's. A film brought to you by Heggo Studios.

Richard Heraghty studied at Huston School of Film & Digital Media, graduating in 2019 with a Master’s in Film Production & Direction. He has worked on several short films and documentaries such as his documentary directorial debut ‘The Soldiers in the Shadows’ which premiered at Offline Film Festival 2019. Which depicted his great-grandfather’s journey as an Irish soldier in World War 1. He worked as an editor on several projects including ‘On The Ropes’ and ‘Ireland’s Green Goals’ which won Best Animation at Disappear Here Film Festival 2019.
This short horror film is inspired by the B-movie horror film's of the 1970-80s. My personal inspiration for the look of this film came from the likes of The Evil Dead, Halloween and My Bloody Valentine.
