I wrote Night Drive because I wanted to make an intimate character drama that plays with various comedic elements. I also wanted to explore what seemed to be a common upbringing between most people that I have encountered who are around my age. This involves spending your later teenage years driving around town with your high school friends at night because there was nothing else to do. I also wanted to explore ideas surrounding pushing your comfort zone, and at what point you should at least try to speak up when you are uncomfortable.
