Experiencing Interruptions?

Nigerian Gangster

Nigerian Gangster May 1,
Preface

Nigerian Organized Crime is subtle in that activities are often kept behind closed doors to avoid attention. Naturally there is the daily crimes committed by a number of youthful gangs. They deal mainly in common theft and turf wars. The Nigerian criminal organizations, however, established sectors of Legos and concentrate on extortion of small business’ and prominent officials. They do not deal in drugs, but focus on gambling and prostitution.

One such underworld gang is the (Kano Family). Headed by the even tempered, but sometimes violent boss, Mr. G. He has acquired all trade business (criminal enterprises) east of the Oshodi-Apapa-Oworronshoky Expressway including Snake Island and its ports. Business was well. Most were happy or at least content and tolerant under Mr. G’s influence.

Only recently an up and coming gang had begun to leave its mark advancing toward the Expressway from the west. This caused little concern for the Kano Family, but Mr. G did not wish to leave anything to the unknown and appointed one of his top Lieutenants, Ricardo (RIP) Peace to oversee activities on the western sector of Legos.

Mr. G had been able to implement a relatively clean operation under his guidance as Boss of the Kano Family. He did this in large part by keeping a low profile and staying out of the way of Head Detective Demetrious Denzel and Legos District Attorney Malcolm Daniel. His motto, “continue forward, but with you head down” was viewed not as weak, but as a smart way to remain a contributing factor in the business of underground profiteering.

As with any operation, there were highs and lows. The prolific celebration of “highs” was a night out on the town with high ranking members of the Kano Family. Drinking and dancing was the extent of recognizing the gang’s financial benchmarks and successful accomplishments. The “lows” on the other hand were not to be discussed by anyone other than when Mr. G would reflect on such incidents to influence those for immediate motivation.

Yes, things were going well east of the O-Apapa-O Expy. Mr. G and his companion, Alexis were not married, but everyone knew she belonged to Mr. G. Alexis often feuded with her counterpart, but to her dismay Mr. G always forgave her as for those misguided outbursts were easily manipulated into a blissful night in bed. Alexis was not a friendly woman. She did not carry her prestige with dignity and was less than humble. Even boisterous of which Mr. G was not a fan. No one really liked her, but she had experience where it counted when Mr. G needed it most. But there was one female, Mr. G had his sights on for some time. She has a son, Joel who the Boss is quiet fond of and takes the boy under his wing to mentor. Angelina beamed in the sunlight with beauty. She was everything Mr. G wanted in a woman. Mr. G had knew who he wanted to share his life with, but currently life with Alexis was the norm.

Crime in Legos is well known. Chief District Attorney Daniel focused his time prosecuting the more violent crimes such as murder, rape and underground crime. He and Mr. G had their run-ins, but he could never pin a crime for which Mr. G was not be able to talk…or buy…his way out. Mr. G had not only high ranking Police officials on his payroll, but judges and even the Mayor looked the other way when it concerned the escapades of the Kano Family.

RIP Peace would soon notify his boss, Mr. G, the gang he was sent to observe is ran by a formidable foe and ruthless criminal, Satine Goddey. He grew up near the Agege Stadium and was a frequent visitor of the Elere Police Department. Up until recently Goddey was a common thug. Taking and beating anything and anyone he wanted. His gang grew rapidly and were loyal to the new Boss of the Locksley Gang. Strange irony that name, Locksley. Goddey was a fan of crime and he was shockingly a fan of the book “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.” The Locksley Gang Boss enjoyed everything about crime especially stealing; only Goddey was no Robin Hood who stole from the wealthy and gave to the poor. No, Satine (pronounced Satan) Goddey stole from any and every one and kept all he took.

The Locksley Gang Boss too had a strong and loyal Lieutenant…Benjamin Blessing. He had a notorious upbringing and absolutely no one wanted to get in his way. Blessing would have long term goals of his own to achieve the status he feels he deserves. This is one person who commands extremely close attention.

In short time, the Locksley Gang encroaches beyond the O-Apapa-O Expy and Snake Island. RIP Peace becomes entangled with three of Goddey’s men but handles them with ease as he is a masterful fighter. And the feud has commenced. Mr. G directs a meeting of his top officials as Satine Goddey is plotting his next move to take over all of Legos, Nigeria and murder Mr. G.

Their henchmen are plentiful with Chris, Clement, Wisdom, Joshua, Elijah and many others combating in brutal battles of fists, knives and guns. All to the dismay of the Mayor-Elect James Johnson who will soon take office and ‘clean up Legos.’

The incoming Mayor had secrets of his own. Campaign Manager, Easy Anselem, was one of the best in winning elections for his employers and developed quiet the resume. He too had ideas to move up the ladder of success, but in ways no one would imagine.

A battle for the lot of the land, a new mayor, a patient but determined DA (District Attorney), a Chief Detective who is losing his patience; oh yes I almost forgot; the quiet, but yielding spy of one of the gangs who turns the tide of the underworld with his genius strategic plan of himself becoming the ‘New Boss of Legos” Dr. Evil Emmanuel
