Nickolas Aurilius (Papadopoulos) is a Canadian-Greek independent filmmaker, writer, director, singer, musician, actor, and composer. With 8+ years experience in Canadian film, theatre, and music performance, Nickolas has fully developed sense for creating dynamic narratives and does so with impressive technical skill in pre-production, production, and post-production. Both as an Actor, Musician, and Director, he has worked in various genres and mediums including Documentary, Music Video, Feature, Short, Drama, Coming of Age, Crime, Thriller, Western, Musical, and Comedy.
At a very young age, Nickolas was recognized as being able to play anything he heard by ear on piano. Starting piano at the age of 4, he has developed his expertise with musical elements of jazz, film composition, classical, Afro-Cuban, Rhythm and Blues, Rock, Gospel, and Greek music-combining aspects of his background to form his own new unique sound. This sound, signified by his diverse & ravishing style of singing & eccentric piano showmanship, bleeds through his producing. At age 7, Nickolas began playing & composing on the piano 3 hours every day until performing live at a professional level in his early teens. As a musician, he has official releases on Spotify, and all other music platforms.
Nickolas bridges his musician passion with his career as a filmmaker, often scoring and composing for films, making music-oriented shorts, a feature film, and recently his latest music video, 'Mr. Nobody'. Nickolas has always been a very ambitious and self-motivated individual, achieving high performance within all visual and auditory artistic mediums.
