The film is focused on capturing the social views of people within their communities. These innovative people saw the need for change in their community and created the change that they felt would be impactful.

Director Biography - Sage Love, Nola Asantewaa

Sage Love is an award winning, Ayitian born, Brooklyn raised filmmaker, entrepreneur and photographer. Sage has written, directed and produced numerous films which have screened at film festivals both in the U.S and overseas and are currently streaming on indie SVOD sites such as AppleTV, KweliTV and ShortsTV. Love creates films that challenge social norms and brings awareness to African American communities; telling their stories with authentic representations.

Nola Asantewa is an honorable retired disabled veteran. After serving in the military, Asantewa saw a need to be a service to her community. Asantewa is an entrepreneur and an activist in her community for social change. While being an active leader in her community, Nola Asantewa saw a need to help local blackowend business in her community to thrive. Asantewa provides business resources, promotional services, and hosts events for local blackowend business, vendors and veterans separating from the military to grow their business. Asantewa is also the codirector and coproducer of the award winning film New Panther A Call For Action. NPACFA is a film about a collective of people coming together for change in their community.

The mission of the film is to capture a collective of people focused on being impactful in their communities. New Panther Film provides a literary and artistic platform to educate and empower individuals to become New Panthers of their generation through community actions for change.
