Newmarket International Film Festival is dedicated to independent cinema and independent filmmakers from around the world. Our annual festival is located in north of Toronto in the beautiful town of Newmarket where many stars such as Jim Carrey were born.
The directing manager of the festival is an award winning Canadian filmmaker based in Newmarket. The NIFF committee consists of a team of professional filmmakers, critics and distributors from Canada and US.
We understand how difficult it is to make an independent film and we stand with all the filmmakers and truly care about the language of cinema as an art form.
We will select, screen, and award our filmmakers and promote their projects to our media representatives and film magazines.
We also try our best to provide free distribution consultation and connect filmmakers with sales agents and distributors that we are connected with.
If you have any questions regarding your entry, you can contact us at
We look forward to viewing your work and we wish you the best with your journey as a filmmaker.
