Following the success of the NYDEF Film Festival in New York City, in conjunction with Denouement Films, New York Premiere aims to showcase short films from emerging filmmakers from around the world and those from ethnic minorities, LGBT and women during a 3 Day festival with a $1000 grand prize and TV premiere of of their short on New York's MNN Cable Network.
Following the success of the NYDEF Film Festival in New York City, in conjunction with Denouement Films, New York Premiere aims to showcase films from emerging filmmakers from around the world especially those from ethnic minorities, LGBT and women during a 3 Day festival.
The festival will be held at a cutting edge screening room where filmmakers and audience members can eat and drink from a full menu and bar while watching films from the most promising filmmakers of the future. New York Premiere will also host a panel from award winning movers and shakers discussing the state of the industry and making a mark.
Day 1 (Open call to Local and International Filmmakers)
Day 2 (Minority, LGBT and Women Filmmakers)
Day 3 (Young Filmmakers, Panel, Final Voting and Award Ceremony)
The winner of the festival will win a $1000 Grand Prize, exclusive airing of their short on the MNN Cable Network and a free consultation with a film publicist.
Filmmakers are allowed to submit as many films as they wish. There are no completion date requirements. Please be advised that due to the audience and exposure the festival can provide, it is highly competitive and filmmakers are encouraged to submit only their best works.
Filmmakers must be comfortable answering questions regarding their film and be prepared to be filmed on camera.
All works must be original and the rights must belong to the filmmaker. All films in which the filmmaker does not own the rights will not be considered in this festival.
If selected, the filmmaker must provide the following:
A Trailer (preferred but not required)
2-3 Photographs of the Filmmaker
Short Synopsis of the film.
