** We have confirmed our dates and venue! **
The New Westminster Film Society in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, is excited to announce our Call for Submissions for the 2021 New Westminster Film Festival (NWFF). We welcome Shorts and Features, including Documentaries, Narratives, Experimental, and more.
We will be selecting films for Feature Length Narratives, Documentary, Shorts, and After Dark sections. As well we would love to see more films of interest to our community’s South Asian population.
We are especially interested in films by communities and cultures underrepresented in film.
Our goal for 2021 is a hybrid festival, with films both on the big screen and streaming online, however with the current global uncertainty we are unable at this time to guarantee theatre viewing for some or all films we select.
We are also exploring unconventional venues for showing films. But more on that as it develops.
New West Film Fest (formerly New West Doc Fest) was founded in 2011 by a group of citizens with a passion for film, art, and community. The festival’s mandate is to present current cutting edge films that encourage dialogue, educate, and entertain.
This annual event is highly anticipated in the community and is a valuable addition to the fall events schedule in the local calendar. We look forward to your submission for our 2021 festival!
