It is the first New Wave Film Festival ever. Our aim is to encourage production of more independent, experimental, alternative and student work and to provide more screening opportunities for them to reach the audience so that the audience could get to know more diversity in films. We focused on the film’s independency and innovation, while quality is secondary.

Rules & Terms

All films must be submitted in English or Chinese (traditional or simplified) subtitles.

Filmmakers shall be the copyright owner of their respective firm.

If the film is shortlisted, you will receive a notification that we request to download the video. Please allow us to download it for screening purposes. If download is not allowed, the firm will not be selected as finalist for screening.

The downloaded video is for screening purposes only and will be deleted after the screening.

The application fee will not be refunded no matter whether your film is shortlisted or not.

We reserve the right to update our terms and conditions.

We will never sell your information to third parties.
