Madan, 55 years old immigrant professor in the US, faces turmoil as a domestic dispute leads to job loss and societal gossip. Haunted by family estrangement and longing for his deceased parents, a dream visitation on a new moon night offers solace before his mysterious disappearance.

Director Biography - Santosh Dahal

Santosh Dahal, born in Nepal in 1990, is an aspiring filmmaker currently pursuing a Masters in Cinematic Art at the University of Texas at Arlington, USA. He completed his Batchelor's degree at Tribhuvan University in 2014, specializing in filmmaking. His graduation film, "The Pledge," gained recognition and was showcased at the Singapore International Film Festival in 2016, followed by the Queen's World Film Festival in 2017 and other international film festivals.

Santosh's short film, "The Mirage," premiered at the Raindance Film Festival in 2021, receiving critical acclaim and a special mention at the Human Rights Film Festival in Nepal in 2022. He also worked as a First Assistant Director on the award-winning feature film "Dying Candle."

Beyond filmmaking, Santosh served as an instructor at a film school. Currently, he is developing his first feature film, "The Flowers Of Wild Sugarcane."

During my stay in the USA as a film student, I witness the journeys of many immigrant families who arrive in the land of the free, hoping for a better life, but encounters conflicts stemming from generational divides. Their stories, both resonant and captivating, profoundly touch my soul and inspire my creative journey. I strive to illuminate the immigrant experience, revealing its multifaceted complexities.
