Naya Basera

Any man can be a father, but it takes an extraordinary man to be a single father. The story takes
us to the journey of Parimal who struggles to raise his two daughters after his wife's death. Life
seemed unfair to him in every passing stage, children growing distant from him and the tragedy
of flood that took away his home leaving him in a very critical economic situation. The
unfairness also explores the human violation area where we see how people cheats people for
money and more. It also digs the emotional state of his kids going through a trauma like this in
such a young age. The helplessness, frustration of both the sides are depicted and described.
Despite of such unbalanced life, he chooses to stay with his kids, even though he had the
chance of not to, depicting a very beautiful bond between a father and his children in the hard
times.

Director Statement

I am very much attracted to the visual part of a film, the camera angles and the lighting that only a Director of Photography can achieve. If I can be a part of any film, I would mostly choose to be the DOP.
