Gabriel García Salazar (Monterrey, Nuevo León, 1996) self-styled Gabriel GN Salazar began his studies and image training at the age of 17, studying for a diploma at the Lumiére de Toluca Superior School of Photography from 2015-2016 where he participated in exhibitions and was recognized for his participation and perseverance in the Festival of the Historic Center of Toluca on March 18, 2016 in the exhibition: The story in the image and for his participation and perseverance in the Photography Workshop as a speaker at the 9th Cultural Day of – May/7 /2016-CULM (UAEM).

At the age of 20, he participated as a production assistant in Muerte al Verano (FICM 2019) by Sebastián Padilla and in Territorio by Andrés Clariond (FICM 2019), years later he would hold the same position in El Comediante (Netflix) (FICG 2021) by Gabriel Nuncio and Rodrigo Guardiola.

While he was studying film in the city of Monterrey, he made his first two short films with a very low budget: Abruptum, a surreal chronicle of a tormented being facing his emotions, and El Numen de Cartón, an absurd tale of a fragile god who summons his blind followers.

In 2018, he joined the Mexican Association of Independent Filmmakers to study for a degree in Film Arts and Business that would conclude in 2023. During this period, he was involved in various short films and audiovisual projects, holding positions as assistant, continuity writer, scriptwriter, and director, in addition to collaborating with the Bengala Agency in some of their projects. In 2021 one of his co-written short films (Por un Bistec) participates in Shorts México, Ruta Maya among other festivals and his script Ultrajes cercanos del Tercer Tipo (absurd and irreverent comedy with fantastic overtones) is selected at the 24 laughs per second of EscribeCine.

He currently collaborates with CintaNegra as a screenwriter where he has worked on various writing jobs.

Gabriel GN Salazar is a filmmaker with an interest in creating provocative stories that shake the viewer's sensibilities, be it through graphic violence or explicit sex. His taste for terror, gore and pornography have meant in his career a marked style in his most intimate stories. However, he is not pigeonholed in only creating content of this nature, his vision expands to commercial fields and more open niches.

Among his interests are animation, photography, literature, pornography, new technologies and video art. His focuses in the cinematographic profession are the script, the direction and the image editing.
