Natalie Jasmine Harris is an emerging writer/director and producer from Maryland. As an artist, Natalie is concerned with creating intimate portraits of Black girlhood that include explorations of sexuality and identity development. Natalie received her BFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in May 2020 where she graduated with Honors and received her department's award for Excellence in Community Service. Over the years, Natalie has screened her short films at a plethora of film festivals domestically and internationally, including The British Film Institute's Future Film Festival (BFI), where she received a nomination for The Best International Short Film. Natalie’s upcoming short film, Pure, is currently in post-production and has received grants from The Lancer Family Film Production Award, The Johnson Film Launch Award, and was a Finalist for The 2020 Scout Film Grant. She is currently developing Pure into a feature-length screenplay of the same name that she hopes to become her feature film directorial debut.
