Natália Pimentel is an actress, filmmaker, and writer, a member of the Associação Cultural Teatro da Crueldade, co-founder of the independent production company Oito e Meio Filmes, and a Cinema graduate from PUCRS through the ProUni program. She has worked in several short films and music videos that have screened at festivals, taking on roles as an actress, director, screenwriter, and executive producer. She also holds a technical degree in Advertising and Marketing from Escola Técnica Irmão Pedro and a professional training course in Animation with Evanildo Santos at Escola de Artes Animact.
Her work as a screenwriter for the documentary “Sinal de Alerta: Lory F” was awarded Best Editing and Best Film at the 2022 edition of the Gramado Film Festival. That same year, she attended the “Marché du Film” at the Cannes Film Festival, participating in consultancy sessions with her feature film project “Deusa Bipolar”, in which she is the protagonist, director, and screenwriter. The film is currently in pre-production.
In 2023, she completed “Carta ao Pai”, which has already screened at more than 15 national and international festivals and won five awards. She is currently in post-production for the short film “Puerpério” and in production for the feature-length documentary “Encruzilhada”. She is also part of the play “Choro dos Deuses”, produced by the Teatro da Crueldade Collective, which is currently on tour.
In 2024, she participated in an exchange program in Germany, where she interned at Urbanscreen, an award-winning studio that creates projection mapping installations in four categories: art production, brand experience, exhibitions, and immersive objects. During this exchange, Natália deepened her studies and practices in projection mapping.
She has participated in several screenwriting and creative writing workshops, studying under Paula Markovitch, Larry Wilson, Valesca de Assis, Jeferson Tenório, Luiz Antonio de Assis Brasil, and Jéferson Assumção. She has also taken courses in theater and contemporary dance, including training with the Gaga movement group. Additionally, she is a Literature undergraduate at UFRGS and a contributor to the “Escritor Brasileiro” blog and the “Fazia Poesia” portal.
In 2024, she is published the books “Hoje eu Sangrei Palavras” and “Puerpério”.
