Director Statement

Primarily an editor, Anna took a step away from the editing chair and stepped into her directing shoes to bring her story, Nancy’s Dead!, to life. Inspired by her ridiculous high school experiences, Anna's story tackles the themes of self-identity and high school's toxic effects on who we are. She is consistently inspired by the horror and dark-comedy genre, and pulls heavily from highly stylized filmmakers such as Guillermo Del Toro and David Lynch. Anna hopes to create more works that push her boundaries as a filmmaker in the future.
