Director Biography - Marta Sniezek, Maura Willet

Marta Sniezek Bio

Marta is an animation director and animator graduated from IADT. During her studies she directed 4 animated shorts, while in her 3rd year she worked on the character animation on ‘La Bestia’, the Annie Award winning short from Gobelins L'Ecole de L'image in 2021. Her graduate short 'Small Hours' had its world premiere at Annecy International Animation Festival 2022 and has been in over 90 film festivals worldwide, multiple awards and special mentions. It was showcased at the Light Canvas’ winter exhibit for 5 months, from 2022 - 2023 in Dublin and screened in the Mermaid Theatre prior to Charlotte Well's 'Aftersun'. She has been a freelancing director and media creator since 2018, having done a music video for Isaac Butler, illustrated museum exhibitions in Duszniki Poland, directed and animated an informational awareness video for the HSE, and was the chief editor and storyboard artist of the video projections for Senegal’s Dubai Expo 2020. She worked with JAM Media in Dublin as an SFX Artist for their upcoming animated feature ‘Greyhound of a Girl’ and just directed an upcoming stop-motion short ‘Nana Dee’ funded by Frameworks - Screen Ireland. She is currently in the pre-production stage for two upcoming short film projects.

Momo Willet Bio

Momo started to develop her creative career in film making with my BA in 3D, Digital Design and Model Making at IADT Dun Laoghaire, Ireland in 2018. Over the four years at IADT, she was immersed in and captivated by the 3D realm, including digital and physical design, sculpting, moulding, casting and 3D printing. This Exploration awarded her first-class honours in her BA and the Student of the Year award at IADT. After graduating from IADT, she began Developing I short film, Nana Dee. During this time she was doing 3D printing freelance work. Currently, she is studying for a MA in Animation at the Bristol School of Animation UWE. She hopes to develop her skills and knowledge as a filmmaker and the animation industry. Currently, I am studying for a MA in Animation at the Bristol School of Animation UWE. I hope to develop my skills and knowledge as a filmmaker and the animation industry.
