He is currently teaching cinema at some universities and Iranian Youth Cinema Society as well.
He started artistic activities in cinema by photography when he was studying graphic as his bachelor's.
He started documentary filmmaking by directing “Be Soo-ye Khoshbakhti” at the beginning of his master.
He continued by documentary film editing and directing.
“Alan” as the only short film from Iran in 39th Clermont-errand International Short Film Festival, came out du his orientation of integration documentary and drama with his ethnographic approach to portray a day in the life of a Kurdish family just before dispersion!
Alan has been to more than twenty prestigious short film festivals and has been awarded.
The initial idea for the script of “Najibeh” was formed after reading news about the rise in the number of elderly prisoners in Japan; elderly individuals who seek refuge in prisons to escape financial problems and the pressure of being a burden to their children and to the society. What I realized later was that the same issue is slightly common in Iran. However, instead of elderly individuals, it included the homeless, the poor, and addicted.
As a result of this process, the idea and the script for Najibeh was formed. My objective in the script for the Movie Najibah was to demonstrate a religious mother who is punished by a system and government that trained her religiously to perform the sacrifice.
In other words, a question about the borderline in the society between one who offends and one who sacrifices.
