Director Statement

This movie was made part of my graduation project at ISCA film school in Rabat, Morocco.

This would be my first professional film, and the first film is a thing that can’t be replicated.

Following the maestro Dir. Martin Scorsese's quote: “The most personal, is the most creative.”

I noted down my personal stories and my emotional background, but nothing came to mind.

However, Two days before our school deadline to bring forward the idea - I hear the news about the passing of a woman dear to my heart, Naima.

She was a woman who used to work with us for almost 8 years. Because our family lived abroad, and my sister and I used to be busy most of the time, she was the one who cleans our apartment three times a week and cooked. She even took care of me when I was ill stayed at home, and visited me at the hospital.

She witnessed my first interest in making movies and was helping me film many videos I made at home.

Her sudden loss in 2020 provoked in me a deep realization of who she has always been in my life and a deep desire to thank her and make a film about her.
