Nadin Heinke is an animator, motion designer and animation filmmaker from Berlin, Germany. She has 5 years of professional experience in the field of animation and post-production and is freelancing since 3,5 years. Born in the GDR 1987, she grew up during the troubled years of German reunification in East Berlin and went to school in Saxony.

From 2017-2020 she completed a B.A. Film and Motion Design (grade: 1.1) at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE), Berlin, Germany. For two semesters she was selected for the university's own scholarship for outstanding academic achievements. Previously, she studied Educational Science with a focus on educational philosophy and aesthetic education at Humboldt University Berlin. She also lived in sunny Melbourne for a year in 2014 and worked in the creative industry in sales for 2 years. Only then did she decide to pursue a new career as an animation filmmaker and motion designer because this work gives her creative challenges, purpose and joy.

Her own documentary and experimental animated films («Stamina» 2020, «Feminist Rage» 2019) and music videos («Muppet» 2022) have been screened at international festivals. Nadin was a permanent volunteer at the former Berlin Feminist Film Week, a self-organised film festival which unfortunately did not survive the pandemic.

Her recent projects included animations for the queer-feminist feature film «Eyes Without Gaze» 2025 by Leniko Sennoma (in post-production), production and animation of visualizer for music labels (e.g. Vertigo Berlin / Universal Music Germany), video editing for social media content in film marketing (e.g. Farbfilmverleih, SONY AXN). As a video editor she contributed to the art and branding videos by film maker Marc Comes, in the video-based room installation "Just Add Water" by LAUFEN and NM3 at Milan Design Week 2022, which received a Special Mention Fuorisalone Award. Later on the work was also exhibited at Vienna Design Week 2022.
Furthermore Nadin produced, animated and edited explainer videos and social media content for political education (e.g. Rosa-Luxemburg Foundation, Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung). In 2023 and 2024 (tbc!) she was part of an all womxn/FLINTA* video crew at Fusion Festivals biggest stage «Palapa» to operate cameras and live edit the live-stream of the concerts. In 2025 she will start production of a new animated short film.
