FESTIVAL: First week in March 2019

LGBT Film Festival and Screenplay Competition.

We are looking for FILMS and SCREENPLAYS with an LGBT theme to be part of the New Renaissance Film Festival, which will take place in Amsterdam, next March (2019).

Different lengths and different genres are welcome, and we especially love quality drama shorts with strong emotional themes, but we accept ALL genres.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The New Renaissance Film Festival had its successful inaugural event in Amsterdam in March 2017, and is part of larger festival which takes place in London. NRFF Amsterdam and LGBT NRFF Amsterdam will be held at the arthouse cinema LAB111, which is close to the famous Vondelpark in Amsterdam, a city known for its diversity and innovation in the creative arts.

The festival's focus is on the ARTIST, on the STORY and on building a COMMUNITY of inspiring storytellers. We screen mainly short films, but from now on will start to accept features as well. Our numerous award possibilities give independents the chance to receive the recognition they deserve.

We have been privileged to screen world premiers at our festival and films that went on to win an Oscar! We have also found that filmmakers, screenwriters and actors create new projects from meeting each other at the festival.

We will screen about 100 films in two cinemas over the course of four days. The event will include professional MASTER CLASSES, Filmmakers Q&A's, Panel Discussions, a fun COCKTAIL HOUR and AWARDS CEREMONY.

The festival will be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and ticket sales will be announced on the website in due course.

This was my first film festival with my first feature, She Is Juiced and as it turned out, my First award: Best Art Film! The integrity, passion and commitment that New Renaissance showed, made me feel really valued and seen as a film maker and an Artist. I would absolutely recommend that you submit your film into the Creative and caring hands of NRFF x

Really loved the overall curation of this festival. I felt my film was in very good company. I couldn't go to the festival because I live a long way away but I would have liked to. Thank you for being so lovely to me from afar.
