Dora is an ambitious teenage writer with mental illness. She dreams of writing something truly great but because of her illness falls into a creative crisis and does not write anymore.
Mom worries about her daughter and takes her to a new psychotherapist following whose advice Dora begins to keep a diary about her hallucinations.
She's getting better but she's not recovering. Dora feels the power that madness gives. Diary notes are no longer just therapy they become her novel and life.
