Director Statement

It stems from my deep desire to capture the beauty and magic I find in the simplest details of life. Through this short film, I seek to explore and celebrate the poetry hidden in the little things, from a sunset to a conversation with a loved one. But in the moments when I feel sadder, I seek to travel back to my childhood to embrace who I really am.

My goal is to explore the beauty and meaning that lies in the little things in life, as well as the ability to rediscover the joy and innocence of childhood even in adulthood. This short film seeks to offer a cinematic experience that invites the viewer to reflect on the importance of enjoying every moment and embracing the childhood that still lives within each of us.

The inspiration behind this project comes from my own experience and observation of how adult life can lead us to forget the magic and wonder we found in the simple things when we were children.

The story of Sofia and her transformation by putting on the yellow dress represents an emotional journey towards regaining lost innocence and appreciating the small joys of everyday life. I want to capture the essence of this journey through cinematography, using evocative imagery and an emotional narrative that resonates with audiences on an emotional and thematic level.

Furthermore, it also addresses the importance of friendship and mutual support in times of difficulty. The character of Ana, Sofia's best friend, represents the human connection and complicity that helps us overcome difficult times and rediscover joy in the small things in life.

It is a reminder of the importance of keeping the spark of childhood alive in our hearts and finding happiness in the simple and beautiful things around us. Through this short film, I hope to inspire viewers to embrace their inner child and enjoy every moment as if it were the first time.

I believe that everyday life is full of fleeting and precious moments that often go unnoticed amidst the daily routine and worries. However, I firmly believe that it is these little gems of existence that give meaning and color to our world, it is my attempt to capture the essence of these ephemeral experiences and share their beauty with the public.

Through a delicate and visually captivating narrative, I aim to immerse the viewer in a world where the ordinary is transformed into the extraordinary, where every gesture, every glance, every whisper is imbued with meaning and emotion. I want to transport the audience to a place where time stops and reality merges with fantasy, where life itself becomes a constantly evolving work of art.

I not only seek to inspire and move, but also to remind us of the importance of stopping and appreciating the beauty that surrounds us in our daily lives. Often, we get lost in the search for grand deeds and spectacular moments, forgetting that the true magic lies in the little things, in the simple and sincere moments that connect us to our shared humanity.

This short film is my tribute to life itself, an invitation to celebrate the beauty of the world around us and to find love and meaning in the simplest and most humble details. Through this short film, I hope to awaken in viewers a sense of wonder and gratitude for life and all its wonders.

Ultimately, in each of us resides an inner child, full of curiosity, imagination and joy. Through this short film, I aim to explore the importance of reconnecting with that essential part of our identity and how this process can enrich our lives and relationships.

Adult life can lead us to lose sight of the innocence and spontaneity that characterize childhood. Responsibilities, stress and everyday worries can take away from the ability to marvel at the small things and enjoy the present with the same intensity as we did when we were children. This is my response to this dilemma, an invitation to reconnect with the most authentic and free part of our being.

Through the story of our protagonists, we explore the emotional journey of rediscovering the magic of childhood in adulthood. From lost innocence to the reaffirmation of joy and spontaneity, we will follow their process of reconnecting with their inner child and how this encounter transforms their lives and relationships.

It not only seeks to inspire and entertain, but also to remind us of the importance of keeping the spark of childhood alive in our hearts. Through cinematography, narrative and performances, I hope to convey the beauty and depth of this inner journey and offer audiences an experience that inspires them to reconnect with their inner child.
