My little sanctuary (Autism isn't what you see)
In the small town Grundarfjörður, Logi an autistic man wants to try to get out of his comfort zone while he struggles with social anxiety. He invites the café’s new waitress to a concert. But before the date, he’s not sure if it’s better to be himself or play what society wants him to be.

Drómi Hauksson is an Icelandic director & producer. He is creative, a visionary and passionate about making Films & TV. Drómi graduated from the Icelandic Film School in Spring 2022.
I am autistic and I was diagnosed very young. I always tried to fit in and never accepted autism into my life. I didn’t fit my puzzle piece anywhere until I accepted myself for who I am and realized I should use my voice to educate about autism.
Our society isn't educated enough about autism and how diverse it truly is. Autism isn’t supposed to be treated like a disease or something to be afraid of.
This short film is my dedication to spread awareness about autism. To really show that autism isn’t what you see.
