My country is a man
My country is a man talks about Cuba and its people, but those who live in the streets, the sector that is characterized by day-to-day survival, in the midst of a hostile environment where violence, hunger and poverty are the figures that they surround the street man, a man who is excluded by himself only because he belongs to the milieu he belongs to and that in many cases it was not his choice to end up there. I use street photography as a medium to capture the most realistic and at the same time cruel side of homelessness and I rely on black and white to represent with the world of the streets it is not precious nuances or colors, but a world that reflects the worst face of a country, a world of heartbreaking situations where there are men of all kinds of qualities, from evil to strength but human beings in the end.
