Hello! I'm a Taiwanese that resides within New Zealand, who loves to tell dramatic, emotional and heart wrenching stories through the medium of 2d Animation with a live action feel to them.
I'm looking to further my career as a professional 2d Animator or Story boarder, and I aspire to someday become an animation film director, where I'm able to tell the stories in their full lengths, and give them the proper care that it needs to give the work justice.
The story of the film was formatted with an initial broad idea of a brother saving her sister from the bad guys. Overtime as I find the right piece of music to fit the film idea, I start finessing and adding details to the story bit by bit. Playing connect the dots, and making sure the necessary loose ends are all tied and coherent enough.
The stories I focus on are usually sombre and depressing all the way to the end, because it reflects the depression and hardship I faced since childhood, especially with my mental health. But I want to experiment with a more sweeter and cheekier ending. An ending that fully ties back to the very start of the film, which was represented by the sister's shiny stone, and the brother's actions.
The creation of the film was also in part of seeing how much progress and skills I've gained from practicing my drawing and animating abilities, then putting them all into practice. Since the last short film I made was over a year ago. I wanted to see how well my own expertise can bring the story to life.
