Hsuan-Yu is a Taiwanese documentary filmmaker based in NYC. Her passion is to discover human stories and share them through her lens.
I met chef Hannah Goldberg at an Arabic culture event and learned that she runs a catering business that partners with refugee women with amazing cooking talent. This intimate and welcoming story invites the audience to experience ethnic food making in a private kitchen setting, as if they were watching their neighbors cooking in their own house. I hope by listening to these refugee women’s stories, the audience can be more aware of the current events around the world. I also hope that this experience can motivate people to contribute to make our world a better place for each other.
