Born and raised in Xinjiang, China, Suno Chen recently became an MFA Documentary Production Graduate at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts of Chapman University.
Suno is currently based in Los Angeles, where she finished three short documentary projects, Choose to Believe, A Quarantine Diary, and My Life Has A Plan, mainly focusing on the lives of Asian American minority groups in CA. Her recent project, Valley of Flowers got selected by the Pasadena International Film Festival.
After 2014, when Suno graduated from the Hong Kong Baptist University with a degree in International Journalism, she started her 5-year long journey making documentaries in Xinjiang, discovering the cultural diversities of thirteen ethnic groups through her unique lens.
