Writer Biography - Xavier Soto Burgos

Xavi Soto Burgos (Latinx/ Young Adult/ Urban) is a Bronx born screenwriter, currently on tour with the National Tour of Mamma Mia. Growing up Xavi was just a normal kid with big dreams in NYC. Drawing from his experiences as an EcuaRican (Ecuadorian/ Puerto Rican) child of two educators in NYC’s public school system, Xavi’s characters tend to find themselves in their adolescence. Some of the themes he explores in his writing are familial love, longing, and finding your place in the world. His writing style explores the lives of ordinary New Yorkers under extraordinary circumstances, bringing light to universal truths through the lens of a Bronxite.
