Director Biography - David Oryan

David Oryan is a Lebanese-Armenian filmmaker, born on March 12th, 1992, who debuted his directing career on a Lebanese TV series called “Wajaa El Rouh” at 22. The series was the first Lebanese-only crew and cast to premiere on multiple Arab channels. This experience drove Oryan on the path of directing family comedy projects like the series 50 ALF and features like “C-Section”. He co-directed “Ma Fiyi” and directed the first Iraqi-Lebanese series “Um Badila” alongside the well-known TV docudrama “Aatel Aan El Horriyi” for MTV Lebanon. Oryan is based in Lebanon where his work highlights the humanitarian side of his art; he directs and produces awareness campaigns for several global NGOs. In November 2021, his first limited docudrama My Journey: Georges Wassouf, produced by 2Pure Studios, has premiered on Shahid Vod. After winning the best-director award for his work in Baghdad, he is currently shooting his second Iraqi-Lebanese TV series for MBC, and working on the pre-production phase of multiple projects.
