My Friend Daniel
Tom (Will Melhuish) is a young professional on a mission to rise up the corporate ladder and prove himself to the world. Full of potential, he jumps for a Marketing Director role at his workplace, OneMedia Broadband, but his insecurities leave him stumbling at the first hurdle - a pitch to the brash, 40-something girl-boss and CEO, Julie (Samantha Dark).
Left with the challenge to up his game, Tom turns to his confidently colourful boyfriend, Daniel (Sam Ebner-Landy) for support. With Daniel, we see Tom’s playful character bloom, but an awkward encounter in the supermarket brings this warming affection to an abrupt halt.
“My Friend Daniel” is a comedy-drama short film where we witness a young gay man’s journey to overcome his inhibitions and stand up for what really matters.
